The Product Support Specialist, Major Events plays a critical execution role in supporting the end-to-end product lifecycle for Fanatics’ most visible global sporting moments — including FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl, and LA28. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Planning, Sourcing, Operations, and Licensing to ensure product information is accurate, timelines are met, and assortments are production-ready for high-volume, event-driven retail environments.
Major Events operate on fixed launch dates with no margin for delay. This position ensures the details are flawless and the process runs smoothly.
Product Execution & Data Accuracy
Support end-to-end product setup and maintenance across multiple Major Event assortments
Maintain accuracy of product data including SKU creation, costing, specs, attributes, and system uploads
Ensure all product information aligns across PLM, ERP, Ops Suite, and retail systems
Track product milestones from concept through production readiness
Calendar & Timeline ManagementMaintain detailed development and launch calendars tied to event milestones
Monitor sample approvals, licensing submissions, and production deadlines
Escalate timing risks early and coordinate cross-functional alignment
Cross-Functional CoordinationPartner with Buying, Product Development, Planning, and Sourcing to ensure product readiness
Support alignment between factories, vendors, and internal teams
Coordinate documentation for licensing approvals and brand compliance
Inventory & Allocation SupportAssist with allocation accuracy and event-level assortment validation
Support tracking of inbound product, launch readiness, and inventory flow
Ensure event assortments are correctly configured for venue deployment
Process Improvement & Risk ManagementIdentify breakdowns in communication, documentation, or timelines
Proactively recommend solutions to prevent launch disruption
Support post-event recaps and documentation of learnings
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:2–4 years of experience in Merchandising, Product Development, Planning, or Retail Operations
Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in product data and documentation
Ability to manage multiple timelines across concurrent events
Strong organizational skills and disciplined follow-through
Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with product lifecycle or inventory systems
Solutions-oriented mindset with ability to anticipate operational risks
Experience supporting licensed or branded apparel
Exposure to event-driven retail environments
Experience working with global vendors or factories
Where You’ll WORK
- This role is based at our Irvine, CA location.
- Travel to vendor meetings, market appointments, and industry events as needed.

The salary range for this position is $80,500-$95,000/year, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
