• Handle seafood products – cut, slice, and pack seafood products
• Display seafood products and organize in-store shelves
• Communicate with customers with standard knowledge of seafood products
• Assist and organize backyard inventories

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, ladders, and power‑driven machinery
• Ability to use job‑relevant equipment such as slicer, scale, saw, knife, and wrapper
• Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in a similar environment (preferred)
• Previous grocery store seafood or sushi restaurant experience (preferred)
• Possess a CA Food Handling license or ability to obtain one
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without aid
• Exposure to potential hazards – equipment, water, vegetables, deli, sushi meat

• Comfortable working in a kitchen environment
• Follow recipes and measure ingredients accurately
• Operate related equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service
• Read, write, and perform simple math problems
• Interpret, understand and follow instructions
• Communicate effectively with general public and management
• Interact with all levels of management
• Have or willing to obtain CA Food Handler’s Certificate
