Job Summary

A Maintenance Sales Associate is responsible for developing relationships that will result in the sale of maintenance contracts with existing and new clients across all vertical markets pursued by EMCOR/Mesa or new markets Mesa may determine to pursue in the future. The role focuses on building new client relationships, informing clients about maintenance, repair, replacement, service, and energy efficiency packages, and ultimately selling Mesa products and services to fully realize sales potential within each account.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Persons filling this position will be responsible for prospecting new accounts, providing clients with product services and information, maintaining existing client relationships, developing sales presentations, and following through with each client and opportunity.

  • Agreement and alignment with EMCOR Mesa’s written philosophy of sales, established processes and procedures related to sales.
  • Seek out and research prospective client opportunities through methods such as phone solicitation, personal visits, attending conferences, utilizing the Internet, and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Business Development and Director of Sales, Director or Maintenance Sales, Branch Manager, and other team members to consistently review and improve account programs and processes to meet targeted objectives.
  • Manage through analysis and solution-based programs to maximize sales growth, volume, and client profitability in the local market area.
  • Identify customer needs and discuss solutions Mesa can provide; proficiency in proposal and presentation preparation is a key requirement.
  • Develop, write, and review client proposal documents, including financial and technical sections, using EMCOR Service/Mesa Energy Systems standard templates and pricing models.
  • Develop sales at defined margin levels to attain market share while providing desired profit to the bottom line.
  • Interact with fellow maintenance sales team members and other EMCOR/Mesa departments (e.g., Operations, Chiller teams, Project Management) in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to growth and development as a sales professional, including attending product and sales training events provided by EMCOR/Mesa.
  • Reach written annual sales plans.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in HVAC commercial, chiller, or maintenance service sales ideal.
  • Strong customer presentation skills and demonstrated sales aptitude.
  • Financial acumen, inclusive of cost modeling for sales proposals.
  • Experience in developing technical and cost proposals.
  • Independent decision-making required.
  • Computer skills using MS Office 365; strong Excel skills required.
  • Valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements; must have an operating vehicle for business use.
  • Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods; climb stairs, ladders, and work at extended heights.

$70,304 - $110,000 per year
