Job Summary

We are expanding our Enterprise Majors organization, a newly created segment focused on serving high‑value enterprise accounts. A Solutions Engineer will partner 1:1 with an Enterprise Client Executive to drive deep technical engagement, account growth, and long‑term success, building relationships, designing complex data solutions, and executing multi‑million‑dollar strategies.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the technical lead and trusted advisor for a small number of large, strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Partner closely with your Client Executive to define and execute account strategy, pipeline development, and deal progression.
  • Build strong relationships with senior architects, IT decision‑makers, and technical stakeholders, earning credibility through expertise and trust.
  • Lead in‑depth discovery sessions to uncover pain points and architect end‑to‑end solutions using the full Net App portfolio.
  • Design and position solutions that integrate on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud storage architectures to solve complex business challenges.
  • Support multi‑million‑dollar sales cycles, often spanning multiple years, while maintaining consistent engagement and technical alignment with the customer.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product management, engineering, and partner teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and initiative, always looking for new ways to add value and drive innovation within your accounts.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in technical sales engineering, pre‑sales engineering, or solutions consulting.
  • Proven success supporting Fortune 500 or global‑scale enterprise customers.
  • Track record of architecting and delivering multi‑million‑dollar deals involving complex technical solutions.
  • Deep technical understanding of storage technologies and the components surrounding enterprise data infrastructure.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to simplify technical value into business impact.
  • Seasoned technical sales professional with experience navigating large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Exceptional at building relationships at the technical level and engaging confidently with enterprise architects and IT leadership.
  • Inquisitive, asking thoughtful, probing questions that uncover needs customers haven’t yet articulated.
  • Experienced managing long sales cycles and maintaining technical momentum throughout the process.
  • Collaborative and team‑oriented, working in sync with a Client Executive to build partnership as the foundation of success.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable balancing strategy with execution.
Compensation & Benefits

The target salary range for this position is $223,550 - $289,300 USD. The final compensation package will be determined by location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Compensation is based on On Target Earnings (OTE), representing total potential earnings from base salary and potential commission when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and include a comprehensive benefits package that may cover health insurance, life insurance, retirement or pension plans, paid time off, various leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stock units (RSUs).
