Job SummaryAs a Business Development Representative at Pyro-Comm Systems, Inc., you will work closely with the Business Development Manager and Sales team to support the creation and expansion of new business opportunities. Your role focuses on prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and scheduling on-site evaluations (“site walks”) for Sales Representatives.
This position is centered on early-stage business development and pipeline creation. The BDR does not prepare proposals or close deals but plays a critical role in ensuring Sales Representatives are meeting with qualified, prepared prospects within the fire and life safety industry.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and qualify potential customer opportunities for Pyro-Comm Systems, Inc.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, email, and outreach campaigns.
- Engage prospective and existing customers to identify fire and life safety service needs.
- Schedule and confirm on-site evaluations (“site walks”) for Sales Representatives.
- Self-generate opportunities through structured prospecting and outreach efforts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activity, prospecting efforts, and site walks.
- Ensure opportunities are properly logged and prepared for sales follow-up.
- Provide visibility into activity and pipeline through consistent documentation.
- Comfortable with outbound calling and prospecting.
- Strong verbal communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
- Ability to build rapport and engage professionally with decision-makers.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-up skills.
- Coachable mindset and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in computer tools and software for documentation and communication.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Irvine, CA.
- Willingness to participate in training, coaching, and internal meetings.
- Incentive Compensation:
Pay per qualified site walk - On-Target Earnings (OTE): $60,000–$80,000 annually
