Sales Associate; Part time - Irvine Spectrum

Job Summary

As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for generating sales on the retail floor. You will take charge of hitting performance goals, driving personal sales, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience for every Purple customer. This role offers opportunities to grow your selling skills, expand product knowledge, and work in a fun, positive environment.

Hourly rate: $18.00. In addition, the role is eligible for monthly commissions on qualifying mattress sales in accordance with the commission agreement terms and conditions.

• Drive personal sales and provide an exceptional selling experience to increase sales and meet KPIs.
• Make strategic sales decisions that align with Purple’s values.
• Set clear personal goals, take ownership of results, consistently monitor progress, and track performance.
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Exhibit selling behavior that aligns with Purple’s sales strategy and demonstrate strong product knowledge.
• Uphold Purple values and strategy, adhere to all retail and safety company policies, and provide excellent customer service with a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Support a positive work environment and continuously grow selling skills, performance, and product knowledge.

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1+ year of experience working in a retail environment (strongly preferred).
• Comfortable learning and adapting to new technology.
• Excellent interpersonal communication capabilities and customer service–oriented attitude.
• Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and solve problems.
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and tackle new challenges.
• Proven competencies in effective communication and ability to communicate product knowledge to match customer needs.

Physical activities may occasionally include ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps; moving in different positions; and lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Physical activities may constantly include standing for prolonged periods, moving about, reaching, bending repeatedly, adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, and lifting up to 200 pounds with team lift or equipment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

This part‑time position is expected to work approximately 15‑29 hours per week. Actual hours may vary based on business needs.
