A growing transportation consulting firm is seeking a Vice President of Transportation to lead business development, drive strategic growth, and elevate the firm's presence across the industry. This is a client-facing leadership role focused on winning work, building relationships, and shaping the future of the transportation practice, not managing day-to-day project delivery.
What You'll Do- Lead business development and growth strategy for the transportation practice.
- Drive pursuit strategy, proposal development, and major project wins.
- Build and maintain relationships with agencies, municipalities, developers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, association events, and public forums.
- Advise leadership on market trends, pricing strategies, and practice growth opportunities.
- Mentor transportation professionals in business development, client engagement, and industry positioning.
- PE or TE license required.
- AICP certification preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, or transportation consulting.
- Proven track record of winning work and developing client relationships.
- Strong industry network and credibility with public and private sector clients.
- Experience presenting to agencies, stakeholders, and executive-level decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of LOS, VMT, traffic impact analysis, signal timing, and CEQA/NEPA requirements.
- Experience with Synchro, PTV Vistro, TransCAD, Auto-CAD, and ArcGIS is a plus.
- Executive-level influence on the growth of a leading transportation practice.
- High-visibility role focused on strategy, relationships, and market expansion.

Compensation: $220,000 - $240,000 Base | Bonus Package (numbers to be discussed)
