Previous hotel sales experience is preferred. However, if you are motivated, client-focused, and eager to learn, we will provide training and support to help you succeed in this role.
Sales Responsibilities- Drive revenue through proactive sales efforts, including phone calls, email outreach, client appointments, site tours, networking events, and trade shows.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate, group, and event accounts to build trust, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales and marketing presentations tailored to the needs of prospective clients.
- Prioritize revenue-generating activities as directed by the Director of Sales, with a focus on efficient time and account management.
- Respond to all leads within 24 hours to maximize conversion opportunities.
- Monitor production of assigned accounts, analyze market trends, and use brand/corporate tools to capture and shift market share.
- Maintain awareness of the competitive set through STAR reports and other tools to help ensure the hotels achieve or exceed fair share.
- Complete accurate weekly sales recaps and actively participate in sales meetings and special projects as assigned.
- Partner with all hotel departments in a professional and positive manner to support a seamless experience for clients and guests.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to clients, colleagues, and leadership.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and polished presentation, consistent with hotel grooming and dress standards.
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Commitment to exceptional service, consistently going above and beyond to support clients and guests.
- Visible, engaged, and present during key events, client functions, and peak business periods as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and reach as needed throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs., including collateral, displays, and event or sales materials.
- Comfortable working in hotel environments where there may be occasional exposure to standard cleaning agents or chemicals used in operations.
