Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team in Southern California. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the BDR will play a critical role in bridging marketing and sales efforts by qualifying leads, generating new opportunities through outreach, and supporting event marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth. This is an entry-level role for individuals eager to kickstart a career in business development, sales, or marketing.
This position is located in Orange County, California, to support sales teams across California and the western US.
Silentia is a Swedish family-owned company founded in 1989 with the US headquarters in King of Prussia, PA. Key Responsibilities Lead Qualification & Nurturing- Qualify leads to determine their fit as sales opportunities.
- Nurture leads through follow‑ups, providing additional information, and identifying key decision‑makers.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and execute outbound campaigns, including cold outreach via email, phone, and Linked In.
- Follow up on leads generated through marketing activities (e.g., trade shows, meetings, webinars, digital engagement, etc.).
- Opportunity to participate in Trade Shows and local Chapter Meetings.
- Work closely with sales to ensure qualified leads are handed off effectively.
- Provide feedback to the marketing & sales team about lead quality, campaign performance, and prospect responses.
- Contribute insights to improve targeting, messaging, and campaign strategies.
- Research target industries, accounts, and personas to support marketing and sales strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for outreach and campaigns.
- Meet or exceed KPIs related to lead qualification, outreach, and sales‑qualified opportunities (SQOs).
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all prospect interactions in the CRM.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 0-2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related field (internship experience may be considered).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and marketing platforms (e.g., Marketo, Pardot) is a plus.
