Senior-level Human Health Risk Assessor​/Toxicologist

GSI is seeking a Senior-level Human Health Risk Assessor or Toxicologist for our Irvine, CA or Emeryville, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 15 years of experience performing human health risk assessments in support of site characterization and remediation projects, including developing work scopes and budgets, managing internal staff and subcontractors, and communicating (written and oral) with clients and other stakeholders.

In addition, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills to support growth in our California offices.

Responsibilities:

* Provide human health risk assessment and toxicological consulting services to internal and external clients in California.

* Develop and implement technical approaches for data evaluation and reporting in support of site assessment and remediation projects, including Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Preliminary Endangerment Assessments, Remedial Investigations, Remedial Action Plans, Vapor Intrusion Assessments, and Remedial Action Completion Reports.

* Direct and perform risk evaluations, from small screening-level risk assessments to large, multi-pathway human health risk assessments.

* Prepare written proposals, manage project budgets, and communicate with client and project stakeholders.

* Provide technical training and support to junior staff to ensure field tasks are completed with precision and consistency.

* Work directly with clients to identify specific project needs and communicate results.

* Engage with regulatory oversight agencies to obtain approval for risk evaluations, selection of cleanup goals, and environmental case closure.
