Job SummaryJohnson & Johnson seeks an experienced Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison specializing in Cardiac Electrophysiology for the Pacific Region. The role will drive key initiatives in KOL engagement, advisory boards, research, publications, medical education, and field intelligence, bridging the gap between scientific affairs and clinical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic engagement plans with KOLs, surgeons, operating room staff, and relevant societies.
- Act as a scientific authority in cardiac electrophysiology and provide medical and scientific education to external and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Scientific Affairs, and Research & Development.
- Communicate complex scientific information clearly to healthcare professionals.
- Stay current on scientific research, medical publications, and emerging trends, providing insights to stakeholders.
- Prepare materials and deliver presentations on cardiac ablation and diagnostic platforms at symposia, conferences, and educational programs.
- Support clinical studies and research initiatives, maintaining communication with external KOLs and authors.
- Provide training and education to internal teams, ensuring deep understanding of scientific messages.
- Organize, analyze, and report on customer, scientific, and market information for pre‑launch and marketed products.
- Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DO, etc.) required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the biotech/medtech industry, with preference for cardiovascular medicine expertise.
- 5+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Sciences, or Medical Science Liaison roles.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular medicine, preferably electrophysiology.
- Experience in interventional cardiology and/or electrophysiology highly preferred.
- Understanding of clinical research methodologies, regulatory guidelines, and medical terminology.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with KOLs and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- High motivation, independence, and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Work authorization in the United States required.
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
- Travel up to 60% domestic required.

Base salary: $137,000 – $237,750 (outside Bay Area) or $157,000 – $271,400 (within Bay Area). Travel up to 60% domestic required. No relocation offered.
