Overview

Project Environmental Scientist, Engineer or Geologist – Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Sciences Consultants, Irvine, CA. Immediate opening for a professional who will conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Preliminary Endangerment Assessments (PEAs), Removal Action Workplans (RAWs), Remedial Action Plans (RAPs), and Risk Assessments.

• Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, PEAs, RAWs, RAPs, and Risk Assessments.
• Schedule field work and subcontractors.
• Perform fieldwork activities—including drilling supervision, logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluate geologic and hydrogeologic conditions; sample soil, soil gas, and groundwater; prepare environmental proposals and reports.
• Manage project scope, budgets, and schedules.

• B.S. Degree in Environmental Sciences, Geology or Civil Engineering; M.S. preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience performing all or most of the duties described.
• Local experience and familiarity with local geologic practice.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Experience with permitting acquisition, site assessment, soil and groundwater remediation activities, and system operation and maintenance.
• Team player, detail oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
