ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a full-time Staff Environmental Planner to join our environmental planning team. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout California while being based out of our Irvine, California office with a hybrid work schedule.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to independently prepare and manage environmental planning documents while collaborating effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare CEQA and NEPA documents to support compliance with environmental regulations
  • Manage routine to moderately complex CEQA and NEPA documents
  • Conduct environmental research and regulatory analysis
  • Coordinate with clients, technical specialists, agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Prepare proposals and participate in business development opportunities
  • Support project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Assist with agency coordination and environmental permitting, as appropriate
  • Provide mentoring and technical support to junior staff, as appropriate
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience preparing CEQA and/or NEPA documents
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing CEQA and/or NEPA documents
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the CEQA process and California environmental and regulatory setting
  • Strong research, analytical, and technical writing skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • NEPA and CEQA-Plus experience is preferred
  • Caltrans and transportation project experience is preferred
  • Resource agency permitting and regulatory coordination experience is preferred
  • Experience with USACE, CDFW, and RWQCB permitting is preferred
  • Experience mentoring staff is preferred
  • AICP certification is preferred
  • Master's degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field is preferred
Compensation:

This is a full-time hourly position with a range of $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
, annualized at approximately $72,800 to $93,600 per year based on a full-time schedule.

Starting salary is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications/permits, geographic location, internal equity and market conditions.
