SummaryThe Global Trade and Security Compliance Manager is responsible for leading and sustaining the division’s global trade compliance and U.S. Government security compliance programs to ensure the lawful, secure, and uninterrupted execution of domestic and international business. This role serves as the division’s subject matter expert for export controls, import compliance, sanctions, controlled technical data, and industrial security requirements while also supporting secure government program execution across the full business lifecycle.

Essential Functions- Lead the division’s global trade and security compliance programs, ensuring business operations, customer programs, and international transactions are executed in accordance with applicable regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for ITAR, EAR, OFAC, customs/import compliance, CTPAT, and U.S. Government industrial security requirements, translating complex regulations into clear operational guidance for the business.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, internal controls, and record‑keeping practices covering exports, imports, sanctions screening, controlled technical data, secure program access, and incident escalation.
- Oversee export and import compliance activities, including jurisdiction and classification support, authorization determinations, denied party screening, shipment documentation, customs entry coordination, and resolution of compliance issues or government inquiries.
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance to Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Shipping/Receiving, Operations, and other functions on transfer, access, handling, and protection of controlled products, technical data, software, and government‑related information.
- Administer the division’s security program in coordination with Aerospace Group and corporate partners, including secure government program access, visitor controls, facility security, citizenship‑based access requirements where applicable, and safeguarding of sensitive materials.
- Ensure compliance with requirements for the marking, handling, storage, transmission, retention, and disposition of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Federal Contract Information (FCI), export‑controlled technical data, and other sensitive or restricted information.
- Support secure program execution by coordinating with customer security offices, government representatives, prime contractors, IT, and Information Security to address contractual security, cybersecurity, and data protection requirements, including DFARS, NIST SP 800‑171, and CMMC‑related expectations.
- Lead compliance monitoring and continuous improvement activities, including internal audits, self‑assessments, corrective actions, incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and voluntary self‑disclosures or regulatory communications when required.
- Develop and deliver role‑based compliance and security training, maintain audit‑ready documentation, and serve as the division’s Empowered Official and/or Technical Data Coordinator when designated.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Supply Chain, Security Management, Engineering, Program Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Eight or more years of professional experience in global trade compliance, export/import operations, security compliance, or regulated government/aerospace environments, with demonstrated ownership of program execution and compliance outcomes.
