About the Role

What You Will Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications for Fluxergy’s medical device platform, ensuring compliance with relevant medical device regulations and standards.
  • Implement and maintain robust unit tests for frontend applications using modern testing frameworks to ensure high-quality, secure, reliable, and scalable code.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, algorithms, mechanical, and assay R&D to define and implement software requirements.
  • Support the implementation of robust, scalable, and high-performance frontend solutions using modern software development best practices and technologies.
  • Participate in code and design reviews to support continuous improvement and shared learning.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless integration of frontend UI and APIs.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation and tools to support development, testing, and compliance efforts.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in medical device software development.
  • Contribute to a positive, growth-oriented team culture.
What You'll Need to Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience developing frontend services/UI or applications.
  • Proficiency with at least one modern frontend framework/library such as Type Script/JavaScript or React.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, Web Socket, and frontend-backend integration.
  • Proficiency with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks (e.g., React Testing Library, Cypress, Jest).
  • Proficiency with Linux OS.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance systems and solid understanding of frontend architecture, component-based design, and state management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and best coding practices; familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Travis CI).
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute meaningfully to technical discussions.

Nice to have:

  • Masters in Computer Science.
  • Experience with full-stack development and databases.
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and data security/privacy standards (HIPAA and GDPR).
  • Experience in regulated industries (FDA).
  • Familiarity with backend frameworks (preferably Python) and UI/UX collaboration with designers.
