Position Overview

Seeking a hands-on full stack senior software engineer to help design, build and maintain RIMS application which provide appraisal management software solution in Commercial Real Estate.

We are searching for a quality C#/ developer to develop code and .NET solutions for our business. In this role, you will be required to design, write, and maintain C#/ coding for our future and ongoing projects. You will also be required to contribute to design and planning sessions as well as formulate approaches for current coding tasks. You will be able to work on legacy code and maintain the existing web applications

Beyond technical proficiency, a candidate also needs strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position is expected to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences, to mentor team members in new technologies and paradigms, and to contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes across Light Box.

What you will do and achieve:
  • The Senior Software Engineer – You are responsible for developing and supporting existing/new applications.
  • Maintain systems by identifying and correcting Software defects
  • Work on requirement analysis and definitions
  • Has extensive experience in integrating third party APIs
  • Ability to provide support across teams when needed
  • Have knowledge and Experience in Setup, configuration& Maintenance of IIS and Active Directory.
  • Can work with minimal supervision, but able to communicate and reach out to appropriate contacts when necessary for questions/training
  • Ensure that systems are manageable, maintainable, reliable, scalable and secure, designing best practices
  • Collaborate with managers of Lender platform engineering teams to ensure that systems are built as designed and interoperate effectively.
  • Participate in team activities such as design sessions, code reviews and sprint ceremonies.
  • Serve as a mentor for engineers across the business.
  • Adhere to best practices around versioning, automated testing, dependency management, system reliability, auto-scaling etc.
  • Investigate and resolve technical and non-technical issues, resolving critical incidents in a timely manner and with a thorough root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to Light Box’s technology strategy as a member of its architectural leadership team.
Who you are:

Education
  • B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent)
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and source management
  • 2+ years of experience in building and integrating third Party APIs
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of .Net framework 4.0
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID design principles
  • Proficient in C#, , ASP/VB, IIS
  • Proficient in ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
  • Experience with SOAP and Restful Web Services
  • Proficient in SQL Server 2012 and above, Transact SQL, stored procedures, triggers, DTS packages
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience in using Visual Studio, Bit Bucket/ Source Tree, JIRA & Confluence
  • Experience with code review and evaluation
  • Good at understanding requirements and estimation
