Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer, Alteryx, Inc., Irvine, CA. Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes. Design and implement testing strategy, architecture, and technology for our Advanced Analytics cloud products. Analyze project requirements to determine effective test strategies for new and existing functionality. Monitor automated testing results of products during development and prior to public releases. Ensure there is adequate testing in place when bugs are resolved to avoid regressions.

Implement or integrate tooling. Work with a Copilot engineering team to create white-box and black-box tests. Identify, record, document, and track bugs. Ensure documentation describes functionality of our software.

Telecommuting permitted 100% - may live anywhere in the U.S.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m.

- 5:30 p.m. Salary: $ – $/yr.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in systems design and development.

Alternatively, will accept Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with 3 years of experience in systems design and development.

Of the required experience, must have at least 3 years of experience in each of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

• Developing Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD);
• Cloud-based environments, including AWS, Azure or Google;
• Git and Git Lab;
• Python and Java/Scala;
• Testing automation tools and processes including Circle
  
  CI and Github;
• Observability and reliability platforms.

Of the required experience, must have at least 2 years of experience in each of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

• Creating and maintaining templated workflows and tool tests;
• Postgre
  
  SQL and Snowflake.
