Role Summary

The Manager of Software Quality will lead the team responsible for defining and implementing the global software quality framework. This role encompasses the entire software lifecycle – including requirement management, code quality, test management, and release readiness. As the final "Quality Gate" for the organization, you will oversee the infrastructure and processes that ensure every Over‑the‑Air (OTA) release is reliable.

Responsibilities

Build and lead the Software Quality team to achieve the software quality goal

  • SW Quality Framework Ownership:
    Define, optimize, and maintain the organizational SW Quality Framework across four key pillars:
    Requirement Management, Test Management, Code Quality, and Release Readiness.
  • Ecosystem Consistency:
    Lead cross‑functional initiatives to ensure a consistent quality ecosystem across Architecture, Development, and Testing teams.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Parallelize rapid software iteration with the continuous improvement of standards, testing infrastructure, and end‑to‑end release performance.
  • Standards & Guidelines:
    Establish and document comprehensive SW quality guidelines, best practices, and standardized workflows to track the execution of quality activities.
  • Metrics Development:
    Develop and optimize data‑driven SW quality metrics to provide visibility into software health and process maturity.
  • Release Infrastructure Support:
    Create and manage the release infrastructure required to assure high‑fidelity software for every deployment.
  • Code Quality:
    Oversee static code analysis efforts, including tool selection, rule‑set definition, and result evaluation.
  • Testing Infrastructure Support:
    Support the optimization of the SW testing framework to maintain rapid development cycles without compromising data‑driven evidence of performance.
  • Requirement Management Definition:
    Establish the organizational standards for requirement engineering, ensuring all stakeholders utilize a unified methodology for documenting functional safety/regulation/security requirements.
  • Team Development:
    Build SW quality and technical expertise within the team, develop professional skills, and foster a supportive, high‑performing work culture.
Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of software OTA release cycles, V‑Model, and Agile development.
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership skills.
  • Familiar with industry standards like ISO 26262, ASPICE, MISRA etc.
  • Experience in system engineering practices such as requirements authoring, failure analysis and test development.
  • Experience in developing automotive software testing framework.
  • Experience in developing automotive software.
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. JAMA.), issue tracking tools (Jira), SW version control tools (e.g. Git, Bitbucket, SVN, etc.)
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science.
