Senior Software Engineer – The Trade Desk, Inc.
Location:
Irvine, CA (telecommuting permitted within normal commuting distance of the Irvine office).
- Architect and optimize large‑scale distributed systems that handle petabyte‑scale data across cloud and on‑premise data centers, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of data products: design, testing, validation, and product deployment.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs for data and software systems.
- Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment practices for data and software systems.
- Work with distributed computing frameworks (including Spark) and design scalable algorithms, including graph‑based approaches.
- Use columnar database systems for data analytics.
- Operate on cloud computing platforms and tools.
- Analyze and visualize large‑scale datasets (terabytes or larger).
- Coordinate workflow orchestration frameworks and maintain data and machine learning pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (U.S. or equivalent).
- Minimum five years of experience in a related role.
- At least five years of experience in Python, Scala, or other high‑level programming languages.
- Strong SQL and relational database system skills.
- Experience working in agile software development environments.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs.
- Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable algorithms, including graph‑based approaches.
- Experience with columnar database systems for data analytics.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and tools.
- Experience analyzing and visualizing large‑scale data sets.
- Experience with workflow orchestration frameworks.
- Experience developing and maintaining data and machine learning pipelines.
Salary range: $184,558 - $249,700 per year.
