We’re seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our team and help build the future of Alexa Mobile Performance solutions. We are the team within Alexa Mobile org responsible for ensuring the highest standards for Performance of the Alexa Mobile app. We are the team responsible for building the technology and infrastructure for capturing, assessing and driving resolution to thousands of crashes, ensuring the smoothest of app experiences.
Our Latency Regression detection solutions use state-of-the-art approaches to capture regressions at very small levels. These are leveraged throughout Alexa Mobile org and play a critical role in ensuring product lovability. Our iOS/Android/React Native SDKs platform integrate modern Real‑Time monitoring solutions for a laser sharp focus on mitigating production regressions.

Key job responsibilities- Android/iOS/React Native/Python/AWS development
- Software development, design, and prototyping
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews
- Write tests for new and existing code to achieve 100% code coverage
- Work with team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high‑quality software against tight schedules
- Work closely with partner teams to provide the best‑in‑class developer experience
You will be responsible for leading the development and launch of core product features. You will drive the design and participate in decision making to build quality products. You will drive and participate in technical investigations, critical to a high performing Alexa Mobile app.
About the teamYou’ll be part of a team that creates scalable solutions that impact over 100 Alexa mobile teams. Our mission is to build scalable systems to mitigate hundreds of crashes and catch the smallest of regressions on our key KPIs.
Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
