The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Technical Architect plays a critical role in leading the implementation and support of the Adobe Experience Manager platform for multiple divisions at Irvine Company. This position requires taking responsibility for robust customer-facing applications built over the years encompassing complex business requirements and technology constraints. The ideal candidate should be passionate about user experiences and have a deep technical expertise of various AEM components such as Sites and Digital Asset Management (DAM) to ensure the success of numerous projects.
As a leader in the space and AEM subject matter expert you will be collaborating with other architects software engineers product managers and QA teams to build bug-free best-in-class solutions to impact our business.
Job Duties- Act as a point person technical leader and problem solver on various upcoming digital applications or those already in production.
- Provide guidance and operate as a trusted advisor for technical and design projects.
- Develop and oversee AEM templates HTL/Sightly components OSGI bundles custom servlets services and DAM enhancements as part of your day-to-day activities.
- Diagnose and solve technical problems related to content management implementation.
- Conduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure optimal code quality and appropriate design patterns are used.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship features.
- Participate in creating clear and concise documentation for company applications and custom-built solutions.
- Give estimates for enhancements and bug fixes.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to impact the company.
- Translate customer experiences into clearly defined product requirements.
- Help create and maintain logically sequenced roadmaps.

- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or equivalent experience
- Must have over 8 years of IT experience including at least 4 years working on AEM.
- Expertise in core web technologies including DNS HTTP RESTful web services and network fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of web experience best practices and design.
- Strong understanding of application security and governance best practices.
- Strong debugging skills including collaboration with peers.
- Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Up to date on the latest web application best practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively document business processes and apply technology to optimize and automate processes.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like Vue React or SPA implementations.
- Experience with CSS preprocessors LESS or SCSS.
- Experience with client- and server-side templating frameworks.
- Experience with front-end build systems like Webpack Gulp Grunt etc.
- Deep understanding of Java Java EE Servlets.
- Expertise in Maven build system.
- Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
- Experience with integration middleware.
- Strong AEM hands-on experience including on-premise installations.
- Must have handled at least 2-3 large AEM implementations in AEM 6.x. in a technical architect and support role.
- Proficient in AEM foundational concepts frameworks and related building blocks.
- Proficient knowledge of the end-to-end content lifecycle web content management content publishing/deployment and delivery processes.
- Strong understanding of AEM security and permissions.
