Job Details

We are seeking a Logistics / Global Freight Management Specialist to support and optimize global transportation operations across ocean, air, and ground freight. This highly visible role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of products throughout the supply chain while serving as a key liaison between internal teams and external logistics partners. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on logistics professional who enjoys managing transportation operations, solving complex shipping challenges, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Freight Operations & Transportation Management

Coordinate domestic and international freight movements across multiple transportation modes, including ocean, air, FTL, LTL, and intermodal.
Monitor global shipments, proactively communicate updates, and resolve transportation delays or service disruptions.
Manage freight documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, customs documentation, and shipping records.
Ensure on-time delivery while balancing service levels and transportation costs.

Carrier & Logistics Partner Management

Act as the primary point of contact for carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL providers.
Support carrier negotiations, rate management, and service performance reviews.
Audit freight invoices and assist with cost validation and payment processes.

Compliance & Process Improvement

Ensure transportation activities comply with company policies and international trade regulations.
Assist in developing and maintaining transportation SOPs, routing guides, and freight processes.
Support audits and maintain accurate transportation records and documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with operations, planning, customer service, procurement, and inventory teams to support business objectives.
Provide logistics expertise to resolve transportation and cross-border shipping challenges.

Reporting & Analytics

Track and report key logistics KPIs, including freight spend, transit times, carrier performance, and service metrics.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, freight consolidation, and transportation optimization.

Qualifications
Required

3+ years of experience in global freight, logistics operations, transportation, or freight forwarding.
Experience managing international and domestic freight movements across multiple transportation modes.
Knowledge of import/export processes, freight documentation, and transportation compliance.
Understanding of Incoterms and international shipping practices.
Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and/or 3PL providers.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred

Experience supporting distribution, manufacturing, consumer products, electronics, or similar environments.
