Warehouse Manager

Clarendon Specialty Fasteners is a fast-growing aerospace fastener and we're looking for a Warehouse Manager to become the right-hand to our Head of Operations.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our stocking warehouses of aerospace fasteners and hardware, focusing on optimizing overall supply chain processes, improving productivity, and ensuring operational excellence across all functions. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to optimize processes while maintaining high standards of safety and quality specific to the aerospace fasteners industry.

1. Warehouse Operations:

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, picking, and despatch of aerospace hardware, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement operational procedures aimed at improving efficiency, productivity and reducing operational costs.
• Manage, structure, and develop/coach the warehouse teams to meet on-time delivery and quality objectives.
• Lead and manage the execution of continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving warehouse and operations efficiency.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and sales to coordinate material flow and meet delivery schedules.
• Resolve operational issues and address customer inquiries or concerns promptly.

2. Staff Management:

• Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to warehouse personnel and monitor their performance.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee development.
• Champion the company’s core values of agility, collaboration, and empathy.
• Recognize gaps in skill and enroll additional training to improve staff performance.
• Manage schedules and timecards including Paid Time Off and Sick Time.
• Develop and support psychological safety, showing empathy and trust with open communication and constructive feedback.

3. Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by implementing and overseeing 6S and FOD programs.

4. Quality Control:

• Ensure quality control procedures are in place and followed with the support of Quality team in accordance with ISO/AS9120 standards.
• Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse processes and workflows

5. Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including cycle count reports, shipping logs, and performance metrics.
• Generate and present performance metrics and KPIs for management review and decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager, or in a similar role within a stocking distribution company for at least 5 years.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and overall supply chain processes specific to the aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of aerospace fasteners and hardware
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
