Senior Accounting Manager/Director of Accounting

Irving, TX – hybrid, 3 days onsite

One of Vaco’s multilocation healthcare clients is looking to add a senior manager to the team. The company is growing rapidly via acquisition (2-4 transactions/month) and offers lots of opportunity for promotion. Due to the structure of the accounting department, they need folks with full cycle accounting in a multi-location/entity environment. Managers will lead the charge on month end and be the first line of defense on variance analysis, troubleshooting and process improvement.

Compensation: $160-175K + 20% Bonus

• Lead and oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Manage accounting for multi-location and multi-entity operations, including intercompany transactions, allocations, and eliminations
• Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner with operations and FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at the location and consolidated level
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives, including system enhancements and close optimization
• Support ERP implementations, integrations, and system upgrades across locations
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff, including performance reviews and workload planning
• Support special projects such as M&A integrations, new location openings, and restructuring initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
• Prior experience managing or reviewing the work of accounting staff
• Strong experience supporting multi-location or multi-entity organizations
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
