The Senior Accountant is responsible for several critical functions as part of the Corporate month-end closing process. Including but not limited to reconciling multiple balance sheet accounts and preparing month-end journal entries.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage the asset side of the Corporate Balance Sheet including monthly account analysis.
- Amortize prepaid expenses, intangible assets, and other long-term assets monthly.
- Research and review miscellaneous receivable activity.
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts.
- Manage the journal entry process for booking lease transaction from the Lease Accelerator software
- Perform monthly general ledger reconciliation of the prepaid rent, deferred rent, accounts payable clearing, right of use assets and payment obligation liabilities between new lease accounting software and the U.S. and Canada general ledgers
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years accounting and general ledger experience.
- Demonstrated skills in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detail oriented with good technical skills.
- Oracle ERP systems experience desired.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
