The Northrop Grumman Accounting Services team is looking to hire an Accountant 2 (level 02). This role will be located in one of the following offices:
Irving, Texas;
Redondo Beach, California;
Bloomington, Minnesota;
Falls Church, Virginia; or Melbourne, Florida, and will have an in-person requirement of a minimum of two days a week, specifically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Full-time telecommuting is not an option for this role.
- Prepare and review journal entries, potentially including accruals, intercompany, or international accounting transactions.
- Prepare account reconciliations as assigned in Blackline and resolve reconciling issues.
- Support the month-end, quarter, and year-end accounting close requirements. This includes reviewing trial balances, loading GL and required schedule data to the reporting system (and reviewing/validating accuracy, as well as resolving errors), and reconciling GL and required schedule data to the reporting system.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the organizations and processes assigned, ensuring positive interactions and good written and verbal communications. May develop and deliver presentations.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests, inquiries, and problem resolution, including audit requests.
- Participate in / coordinate special projects.

Qualifications- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years in accounting or finance work experience.
- Ability to work from one of the listed office locations minimum two days per week for in-person meetings/events.
- Understanding of GAAP, accounting practices, standards, and CAS/FAS requirements.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP S/4.
- Ability to work effectively with a geographically dispersed team and customer.
- Strong Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) experience, including data manipulation/analysis, using macros, and summarizing data in Excel.
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4 and Costpoint general ledger ERP systems.
- Experience with Blackline.
- Certified Public Accountant.
- Big 4 experience.
Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00
