We are working with a growing organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a well‑rounded accounting foundation, with hands‑on exposure across the month‑end close and full accounting cycle. The team is looking to develop this individual into a broader accounting professional over time.
Key Responsibilities- Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and post journal entries, including recurring and adjusting entries
- Calculate and record accruals and prepaids
- Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and key accounts) and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting
- Partner with internal teams to gather data and improve accuracy of financials
- Provide ad hoc support to Accounts Payable as needed (not a primary responsibility)
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation as the accounting function evolves
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1‑3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of month‑end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Experience in real estate, construction, or a related industry is highly preferred
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) and exposure to ERP systems
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a full‑scope accounting role
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
