Staff Accountant

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts, assisting with month-end close, and supporting overall financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations

+ Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

+ Analyze financial data and investigate variances

+ Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

+ Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

+ Assist with audits by providing required documentation and support

+ Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 1-3+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)

+ Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)

+ Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems

+ High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred

Skills:

+ CPA or CPA-eligible (preferred)

+

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite)

+ Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
