Data Entry Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a diligent Data Entry Accounting Specialist responsible for processing a high volume of invoices, approximately 1,500 per week, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Manually key and process approximately 300 invoices per day.
• Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system.
• Process payments in accordance with payment terms and company policy, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
• Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and reporting.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements.
• Support other accounting and finance functions as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in Data Entry
• Proficiency in using a 10-key calculator.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of data entry (accounts payable experience NOT required)

Work Environment

This position is based at a regional headquarters that manages shared service responsibilities for over 40 branches across the United States.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
