Accountant Intermediate - Close and Consolidation

Overview

Accountant Intermediate – Corporate Accounting - Close and Consolidation. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly financial statements, monitoring inter-company accounts for reporting, consolidations, and selected account reconciliations. The Accountant supports month and quarter-end close, audit, SOX compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, solid understanding of accounting principles, effective verbal and written communication, and strong relationship-building abilities.

• Prepare and review the monthly and quarterly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management in accordance with GAAP.
• Monitor and review the monthly consolidation process and balancing of intercompany accounts.
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple accounts.
• Provide audit support, coordinating with internal and external auditors and ensuring timely information requests for the audit.
• Support SOX compliance, ensuring adequate segregation of duties, documentation, and controls over financial reporting for assigned responsibilities.
• Prepare and review Earnings Per Share calculations for 10-Q and 10-K disclosures.
• Collaborate with IT on system issues and enhancements as needed.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and principles.
• Conduct detailed research and analysis as assigned.
• Manage and participate in ad hoc projects as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Flexibility to handle multiple projects and changing priorities.

• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel).
• Oracle General Ledger and One Stream Financial Reporting experience preferred.
• Consolidation knowledge preferred in financial services or related field.
