We are seeking a detail-oriented Oil & Gas Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will support the monthly close process and operational accounting activities for assigned assets. The ideal candidate will have experience in oil and gas accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Support month-end close activities for assigned operating assets.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Perform analysis of production, revenue, Joint Interest Billing (JIB), accruals, and other operational accounting transactions.
• Assist with revenue allocations, calculations, and related reporting requirements.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
• Partner with operations and finance teams to support business initiatives and special projects.
• Respond to owner inquiries and assist with account research as needed.
• Support external audit requests and other periodic reporting requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• Understanding of month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with production, revenue, or JIB accounting is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working within an ERP environment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Upstream oil & gas accounting exposure.
• SAP or other large ERP systems.
• Experience supporting production, revenue, or operational accounting functions.
