Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing team in Irving, Texas in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to core accounting operations, support accurate financial reporting, and collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong reconciliation and journal entry experience, along with the ability to manage priorities effectively in a hybrid schedule of three in-office days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities across the general ledger, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and completely.
• Complete regular balance sheet and cash account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Record accounting entries related to accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, and other routine month-end activity.
• Prepare internal financial reports and assist with the creation of financial statements to support business decision-making.
• Upload and validate daily revenue activity within the accounting system, maintaining reliable and current financial data.
• Provide audit support by organizing schedules, reports, and backup documentation for annual reviews and external audit requests.
• Assist with year-end tax-related reporting by compiling schedules and supporting documentation as needed.
• Address accounting questions from internal stakeholders and external contacts with professionalism and accuracy.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts and support special projects that enhance accounting operations and team effectiveness.
