MAINTENANCE CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Maintenance Clerk
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To:Director of Facilities and School Support Services

Primary PurposeTo assist Facilities and School Support Services departments by expediting the purchase order process in an efficient and orderly manner.
QualificationsEducation/Certification
- High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to read and complete written reports
- Comprehensive computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Obtain working knowledge of district software:
Munis, School Dude, and Kronos - Bilingual Spanish Required (ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish)
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments sequentially in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills & customer service oriented
Experience
3 years of related experience, preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties- Process all requisitions for the Maintenance, Grounds, and Warehouse Services Departments.
- Assist in processing employee time.
- Assist business office personnel on invoice inquiries.
- Process receiving tickets, as needed.
- Process invoice copies for payment when received from the business office.
- Post all contract labor as needed.
- Maintain current vendor files for purchase order s and prepare older files for archiving.
- Issue and maintain entire fixed assets accounting for Facilities Services departments and assist in annual inventory as needed.
- Initiate budget amendments, as needed.
- Perform general administrative duties to include but not limited to filing, reproducing copies, and updating information.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities or other supervisors within your line of authority.
- Assist maintenance receptionist with radio communications overflow, relaying messages to Facilities Services employees via communications equipment, as needed.
- Relieve receptionist during lunch, absences, and as directed by Supervisor or other supervisors within your line of authority.
- Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
