Light Automotive Mechanic

Are you searching for your next great career move? Now's the perfect time to join the Kelly Professional & Industrial team as a Light Automotive Mechanic working at Nissan, a premier Fortune 500 client and global leader in the automotive industry. Irving, TX (Regent Blvd) Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Schedule:

1st shift

Monday-Friday 7am – 4pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads the team in PDI activities to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Use Consult software for diagnostics and reprogramming vehicles.
  • Provide vehicle repair services as needed.
  • Backup for light maintenance on vehicles (Lube, Oil, and Filter Changes) as well as Tire Rotations/Repair and fluid top-offs.
  • Check in and look for damage on newly delivered vehicles. Update eGAMS (Nissan Fleet Management System Appropriately). Follow protocol for approvals/rejections.
  • Maintain the CV facilities working area to keep it clean and orderly.
  • Perform Vehicle Detailing (wash and vacuum) and general clean up as needed.
  • Attend training as required to learn about new PDI or other related processes.
  • Ensure vehicles are processed for auction and transported to locations as necessary.
  • Provide great customer service for employees/retirees when in the shop for service and other maintenance related items.
  • Order and inventory parts for the shop. Work with oil and chemical suppliers to keep inventory filled.
  • Enter maintenance claims into the DBS system.
  • Serve as backup to office staff handling turn-in inspections and vehicle delivery as needed.
  • Performs other related duties of which the above are representative as necessary.

Job Knowledge and

Skills:

  • Proven experience in an automotive environment providing vehicle repair services, oil changes, etc.
  • Appropriate time management, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with both employees/retirees as well as vendors.

A Light Automotive Mechanic job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have three years or more of vehicle maintenance/repair
  • ASE Certification is a plus
  • Are comfortable lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must pass an MVR driving screen
  • Have a valid driver's license
