Sr Business Analyst

Overview

Global Sales and Services Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and is working to drive sustained double-digit growth.

You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function, industry and market sector around the world.

The Senior Business Analyst is part of the Sales & Services Analytics team in GSSO. The team focuses on helping leaders across GSSO and Sales make strategic decisions to improve performance, processes, and their overall functions, based on careful analysis and data. This Senior Business Analyst will join our Sales Support Strategy team, focusing on these programs’ expansion and success by analyzing data, developing insights, and providing data-driven recommendations.

This role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional business and sales teams to translate data into actionable recommendations.

• Solve problems with structured/unstructured quantitative data and derive actionable insights for improving Sales Support performance
• Develop reporting to assess Sales Support resource teams’ performance against key objectives
• Deliver comprehensive analytics (reports, analytics, and presentations) to diagnose issues, identify risks, and lead conversations that inform and shape decision-making
• Partner with key Gartner business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across many different GSSO functions
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices for data validation, documentation, and governance
• Identify opportunities for process, data, and reporting improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness

• 2-4+ years proven experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst, preferably working in business analytics and/or sales operations
• Strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and databases
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different personalities across the organization
• Strong understanding of Power BI and its capabilities
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks across different projects at once
• Experience working with senior and executive leadership
