Compensation Range: $100,000 – $110,000

Reports To: Sr. Director of North American Procurement & Vendor Management

Position Summary

The Category Manager will be responsible for the strategic management of designated product categories, including RFP execution, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management. This individual will focus on driving cost savings, improving supply chain efficiency, and strengthening supplier partnerships to enhance category performance and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills, and will play a critical role in driving measurable cost-out initiatives and supporting organizational growth.

Functions
  • Lead category management efforts, focusing on quality, delivery, and cost optimization through data-driven decisions.
  • Drive category growth and profitability by developing and executing strategic sourcing plans.
  • Own and manage vendor partnerships and programs
    , ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to reduce costs within existing categories.
  • Secure product supply in times of inventory constraints to ensure business continuity.
  • Develop and nurture new vendor relationships to expand the supplier base.
  • Lead and manage product and category line reviews to optimize assortment and performance.
  • Implement and monitor vendor scorecards to evaluate and improve supplier performance.
  • Conduct category and spend analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Execute supplier relationship management (SRM) activities to enhance vendor quality and responsiveness.
  • Achieve measurable results for strategic sourcing initiatives, including total spend, fill rates, and inventory levels.
  • Support the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline by sourcing North American suppliers.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or product management
    .
  • Demonstrated success in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
    .
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
    , with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities across all organizational levels and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
