Position: Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all purchasing functions. This encompasses both upstream and downstream procurement processes nationwide. This strategic role includes optimizing supply chains and ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Primary responsibilities will include the following:
- Analyze expenditure, strategize sourcing, negotiate contracts, qualify vendors, and execute supply agreements.
- Establish and standardize procurement processes, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Promote synergies, quality, innovation, transparency, and accountability in purchasing for efficient service and maximum value.
- Direct, manage, and develop Purchasing Agents/Buyers, fostering their growth as category specialists.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with internal users, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.
- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers, identifying partners offering optimal products/services at best value and cost.
- Perform other assigned duties supporting continuous improvement in procurement operations and organizational goals.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a procurement related role in a food manufacturing environment. Requires two years of experience in the following:
- Analyzing expenditures, strategizing sourcing, negotiating contracts, and executing supply agreements.
- Managing MRP systems, forecasting demand, and processing purchase orders based on projections.
- Qualifying vendors, developing strategic supplier relationships, and managing performance for cost and quality.
- Re-engineering procurement processes, formulating policies, and implementing new strategies for efficiency and compliance.
- Conducting spending analysis, evaluating bids, and monitoring stock levels for business efficiency.
