The Manager, Continuous Improvement, is responsible for driving operational excellence across FDH Electronics' Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams by leading structured, data-driven improvement initiatives. This role serves as a key partner to Operations and business unit leadership, translating business objectives into practical process improvements that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory performance. The Manager, Continuous Improvement will proactively identify opportunities to eliminate waste, reduce variation, and standardize best practices across the organization.
Through hands-on engagement with front-line teams and leaders, this role builds continuous improvement capability, strengthens daily management systems, and ensures improvements are sustained to support scalable growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term operational performance.
What You'll Do
As a Manager, Continuous Improvement (Operations), you will be responsible for:
Continuous Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain functions to improve productivity, throughput, on-time delivery, labor efficiency, and overall cost to serve.
- Serve as a change agent by promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence at all levels of the organization.
- Align improvement initiatives with FDH Electronics' strategic objectives and operational priorities.
- Analyze current-state processes using data, process mapping, time studies, and direct observation to identify inefficiencies, waste, and root causes of performance gaps.
- Design and implement optimized future-state processes that improve flow, reduce variation, and enhance overall operational performance.
- Develop, document, and standardize operating procedures, workflows, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Lead and facilitate Lean activities such as Kaizen events, value stream mapping, 5S initiatives, and standard work development.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., A3, DMAIC, root cause analysis) to drive sustainable, measurable improvements.
- Support the integration of continuous improvement tools into daily management and operational routines.
- Partner closely with Operations & Warehouse, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals and resource availability.
- Support system enhancements and technology-driven improvements that enable more efficient operations.
- Lead the deployment of continuous improvement initiatives into Operations and Warehouse environments, ensuring solutions are fully operationalized and integrated into day-to-day workflows.
- Translate improvement designs into clear process documentation, standard work, and role accountability.
- Drive cross-functional execution, remove implementation barriers, and ensure timelines and impact targets are achieved.
- Establish and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to validate impact (cost savings, productivity, OTD, service levels).
- Implement governance mechanisms (audits, visual management, KPI tracking) to ensure ongoing adherence to new processes.
- Identify sustainability risks and initiate corrective actions to prevent regression.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field required;
Master's or MBA preferred - 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement, operations, manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse…
