Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support client invoicing and various accounting tasks related to expediting the accounts receivable process. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely billing and maintaining strong client relationships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Verify and correct billing data to ensure accuracy.
- Create and issue itemized statements, invoices, and other billing documents as required by clients.
- Record amounts due for goods or services provided.
- Submit billing documents to clients according to their specifications.
- Manage and track unbilled revenue, collaborating with operations to resolve issues.
- Contact clients to verify and update account information as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
- Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General office and basic accounting experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of billing experience.
- Degree in Business or Accounting is preferred.
- Experience with billing using multiple job codes and assembling data from various sources.
- Experience in B2B collections is a plus.
