About the role
Global Sales & Services Operations is a division within Gartner tasked with increasing the productivity of nearly 9,000 associates within global Sales and Services by partnering with stakeholders across the business to design and implement innovative solutions that meet client retention and growth goals and deliver strong returns on resource investment. The team is focused on driving analytical, technology, and process improvement solutions to some of the company's most pressing challenges.
The Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team is at the center of Gartner's mission-critical priorities. We partner with corporate and senior Sales and Services leaders to ensure the best return on the company's substantial investment globally. The team serves as an internal consulting team for sales and services growth strategy, go-to-market strategy, market opportunity assessment, and the design of Sales and Services territories.
Whatyou will do
- Lead and oversee the strategic and annual planning, execution and delegation of key initiatives for territory design
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within TP&A, Sales and Services for respective initiatives
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement on initiatives to enhance efficiency and increase benefit and impact to stakeholders
- Plan, drive, and own end to end work streams with senior stakeholders with minimal supervision
- Analyze data to identify trends/characterize market opportunity and inform the corporate sales strategy and help achieve growth targets
- Partner with Sales and Services leaders to define growth needs and design profitable territories
- Facilitate decision-making by modeling scenarios re: allocation of service people, clients, and accounts
- Drive ad-hoc analyses to inform decision-making of Gartner's sales leaders and C-level executives
- Collaborate with TP&A Leadership to support Sales and Services teams and partner on design initiatives as needed
- Lead a team of junior team members to drive analytical and operational projects
- Plan and execute multiple initiatives across our team's evolving roadmap
- Bachelor's Degree
- Management consulting experience preferred, but not required
- 8+ years of experience, ideally with focus on Corporate Strategy, Business Analytics, Management Consulting, and/or Sales Strategy
- Practical, intuitive problem solver with a demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into quantitative analysis to drive actionable business strategies
- Proven ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders across various business units to advance project initiatives
- Strong skills in performing and presenting financial analysis, valuation, and financial modeling
- Exceptional analytical skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel and relational databases, with the ability to convey complex analyses through effective data storytelling
- Team player who gets along well with your colleagues and is always ready to help get things done
- Adaptable and quick learner who excels in fast-paced environments
- Organized and detail oriented. You think beforehand about how best to implement new features, and your work is clean, well-organized, and properly documented
- You proactively look for opportunities to problem solve using innovative methods that impact the business
