About this Role
The Territory Planning & Analytics ("TP&A") team is at the center of Gartner’s mission‑critical priorities. We partner with corporate and senior Sales and Services leaders to ensure the best return on the company’s substantial investment globally. The team serves as an internal consulting group for salesforce growth strategy, go‑to‑market strategy, market opportunity assessment and the design of Sales and Services territories.
Whatyou will do
- Lead and oversee the strategic and annual planning, execution and delegation of key initiatives for territory design
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within TP&A, Sales and Services for respective initiatives
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement on initiatives to enhance efficiency and increase benefit and impact to stakeholders
- Plan, drive, and own end‑to‑end work streams with senior stakeholders with minimal supervision
- Analyze data to identify trends, characterize market opportunity and inform the corporate sales strategy and help achieve growth targets
- Partner with Sales and Services leaders to define growth needs and design profitable territories
- Facilitate decision‑making by modeling scenarios regarding allocation of salespeople, clients and accounts
- Drive ad‑hoc analyses to inform decision‑making of Gartner’s sales leaders and C‑level executives
- Collaborate with TP&A Leadership to support Sales and Services teams and partner on design initiatives as needed
- Lead a team of analysts to drive analytical and operational projects
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Management consulting experience preferred, but not required
- Seven years of experience, ideally with a focus on Business Analytics and/or Sales Operations
- Exceptional analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, databases and relational databases, and familiarity with statistics and statistical tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to form relationships with and influence senior leaders
- Highly organized problem solver
- Personable and engaging
- Enjoy working in a collaborative environment
- Possess the ability to break problems down to clients and help figure out creative solutions
- Experience coaching and developing junior analysts
