. - Conduct inventory replenishment duties for designated accounts and distribution centers, including inventory management, adherence to SLA goals, and analytics of forecasting trends.
- Establish and maintain regular communication with external customers (suppliers, vendors) and internal stakeholders (distribution center managers, purchasing team), ensuring quick response times and satisfactory problem resolution.
- Collaborate with Purchasing Directors and Business Analysts to recommend improvements to internal processes and vendor management best practices, including plans to roll‑out changes.
- Manage a portfolio of supplier accounts to ensure adequate stock, maintaining alignment among Product Management Directors, Purchasing Leaders, and DC Leaders.
- Evaluate and negotiate standard lead times with suppliers to maintain consistent and predictable deliveries, coordinating changes with vendors and distribution leaders.
- Work with suppliers to ensure item supply statuses are captured and conveyed to customers.
- Independently evaluate supplier performance and develop action items during supplier business reviews.
- Collaborate with other buyers and product management teams to ensure supply coverage across items within a Generic .
- Recommend sourcing action to Product Managers and sourcing partners to maintain surety of supply.
- Maintain an adequate in‑stock position of inventory, maximizing sales while minimizing working capital impact and shrink.
- Assist in mentoring and training less experienced Buyers on tools and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Ideally a 4‑year degree in Supply Chain or a related quantitative or health care field, or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare, supply chain, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including 5+ years of relevant purchasing, sourcing, demand planning, supply planning, or healthcare experience.
- Experience mentoring and coaching peers on best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships and work effectively in a highly matrixed organization.
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation abilities, strong math skills.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, including Excel).
- Prior experience with demand or supply forecasting and analytical thinking.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience supporting a diverse set of vendors and distribution centers.
- Ability to prioritize and organize in fast‑paced environments.
