Cost Engineer

Our Global Manufacturing Client is seeking a highly analytical Cost Engineer to support procurement and category excellence initiatives for new product introduction (NPI) and cost reduction programs. This role combines engineering, data analytics, and project leadership to identify cost‑saving opportunities, monitor program readiness, and present executive-level insights that drive strategic business decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with large data sets, creating impactful dashboards, collaborating across engineering and procurement teams, and influencing business decisions through data‑driven recommendations.

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs by managing out‑of‑process orders and tracking readiness across multiple initiatives.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor project health, identify risks, and communicate program status.
• Analyze data to identify trends, cost reduction opportunities, and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform should‑cost analysis, order quantity optimization, similar part analysis, and sourcing evaluation.
• Prepare polished executive‑level presentations using Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, product, and category teams to implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Support project management activities and provide recommendations based on analytical findings.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and part prints to support sourcing and engineering decisions.
• Present findings and recommendations to business leaders in a clear and concise manner.
