Job SummaryThe Compliance Analyst will be responsible for preparing Darling plant sites for Sedex Member Ethical Trade Audits (SMETA) and managing outcomes. This person will coordinate all aspects of the SMETA audit, review and prepare documentation with the plants, and assist with remediating findings. The ideal candidate will be exceedingly well organized, proactive, flexible, and a great communicator, able to flourish under the challenge of supporting a global company with diverse brands, people, and programs.
EssentialDuties/Responsibilities:

- Assist the Director of Corporate Compliance with Customer audits
- Manage Darling's customer audits including plant communications and preparation; document collection, validation, and review; and communications with internal teams, auditors, and customers
- Planning and Execution:
Defining audit scope, developing checklists, scheduling on-site or virtual assessments, and managing and organizing data from multiple departments - Risk Evaluation:
Identifying and prioritizing risks through data-driven approaches - Documentation Review:
Review and assess various departments' policies and documents, certifications, and process records - Corrective Action Management:
Identify and investigate any compliance issues or discrepancies, and work with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans
- Planning and Execution:
- Research regulatory standards, changes, and provide analysis of those changes
- Collect, analyze, and summarize information to prepare informative reports
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on compliance-related matters
- Prepare and present reports to management on audit findings and compliance activities
- Communicate and collaborate with the Corporate Compliance team and other internal departments to meet Corporate Compliance goals and program initiatives
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree is preferred in Business, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Compliance, Supply Chain, or related field
- Understanding of supply chain principles and practices
- Demonstrated work experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CCEP-I, CIA)
- Experience with a variety of audit and compliance software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple ongoing projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and willingness to learn
- Knowledge of social compliance audits like SMETA
