Job Summary

We're seeking a motivated Construction Project Manager to join our team. Our Project Managers are assertive, self-confident, and self-starters. They are team players, analytical, and operate with high urgency while keeping the best interests of the customer and company at hand.

Responsibilities

They are the main contact between H2I Group and the customer, and they are responsible for managing control over all project administration and delivery of customer expectations through collaboration with others in the project team, ensuring compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Our PMs assume ownership of multiple projects, and the number is dependent on the size and scope of each project. The responsibilities are as follows:

  • Responsible for the overall project management phases of assigned projects.
  • Develops the project schedule and reviews all documents to ensure they match the contract, including submittal drawings, vendor contracts, purchase orders, change orders, installation schedules, insurance needs, etc.
  • Collaborates and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders such as sales, engineering, estimating, field/installation department, while maintaining open communication with all parties involved in the project.
  • Provides timely, professional written responses to customers' inquiries concerning the product, schedules, installation, conflicts, problems, and vendors.
  • Assumes responsibility and administers cost management and budgets for each project, reviews cost reports against budget, and suggests appropriate solutions to resolve variances.
  • Develops and coordinates schedules to ensure projects are completed on time, including product delivery, installation (in-house or subcontracted), production, lead times, site meetings, punch list, phasing, etc.
  • Prepare, submit, obtain approval, verify, and track billings until payment is received. Effectively make progress payment requests to eliminate under billing to the extent possible, monthly. First billing is within 60 days of the order entry date.
  • Learn the specifications and technical details of the products H2I Group distributes and those of the competition.
  • Ensure vendors on any given project fulfill their obligations to H2I Group, Inc, and customers, while maintaining a professional relationship. Ordering vendor products is required per company processes.
  • Attend site meetings when required (dependent on project) and maintain customer relations with the site coordinator and other trades.
  • Travel to job sites to inspect work and participate in meetings such as Trade Coordination, Company presentations, and Installation Coordination as required.
  • All employees must comply with company procedures and safety requirements, reviewing work area daily for hazards, reporting potential hazards to supervisors, and reporting any work-related injuries or illnesses to supervisors.
  • Employees are also required to take responsibility for change and suggest innovative ideas to assist in problem-solving, while gaining necessary approvals.
  • Deliver the H2I Group experience with each project.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Management, or a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and construction project management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Project Management experience in commercial construction.
  • Construction-related certifications and training highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using Bluebeam, and Vista/Viewpoint preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to manage multiple projects and project financials.
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing project forecasts against physical completion to identify potential issues.
  • Skilled in coordinating and facilitating meetings.
  • Able to identify and resolve quality and construction issues while resolving disputes quickly and efficiently.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.
