JOB TITLE: ESY SPED Teacher

REPORTS TO: Program Facilitator

PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

The teacher is responsible for supporting students with reading and language development and the essential knowledge and skills appropriate for the level of the students within the content areas.

• Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned
• Bachelor's Degree
• Irving certified teacher with a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Understands and uses sheltered instruction in lesson design and delivery
• Has experience working with students in assigned grade level
• Possesses one or more of the following skills: scaffolding, small group instruction, teaching ELs

The teacher will prepare and follow the curriculum provided and presented during training each summer program. The teacher will work closely with the Summer Program Facilitator, Coordinator, other teachers, and students. All other duties as assigned by the facilitator. Appropriate dress is required as per IISD Dress Code.
