Hybrid Visiting Professor of Cybersecurity
This position requires onsite teaching in Irving, Texas and a Master’s degree in a relevant field, PhD preferred.
Job DescriptionThis role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields, primarily in the cybersecurity area. Course sessions are eight weeks long and meet once or twice a week. Face‑to‑face interaction is blended with online discussions and assignments.
Responsibilities- Develop and provide students with an approved syllabus based on the campus template and course objectives.
- Organize, prepare and regularly update all course materials.
- Use appropriate technology and course software, including websites, email and online discussion forums.
- Model effective oral and written communication, engage students and provide clarity.
- Publish course objectives, assignment/examination dates and weight distribution of evaluation categories.
- Ensure exam content and level match course objectives.
- Demonstrate consistency and fairness in grading and provide timely feedback to students.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- A master’s degree and 18 graduate credit hours in the subject taught.
- Applicants must upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts.
- Degrees awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or an equivalent international institution.
- Prerequisite knowledge, expertise and communication skills as required by state licensing or accreditation.
- Faculty must have subject‑matter expertise and superior communication skills.

Visiting Professor pay is based on level, number of credit hours taught per 8‑week session, and location.
- Pay may vary in most states from $1500–$2700 per 8‑week session.
- In the states of AZ, CA, IN and PA it is paid at an hourly rate of either $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour.
Pay is not guaranteed to be a specific number of work hours or assignments. Assignments may vary based on university needs.
