Key

Qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (or eligibility)
• Experience teaching students with disabilities across a variety of grade levels (K-12) is preferred
• Strong understanding of adaptive PE principles, IEP processes, and individualized instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and school teams
• Ability to design inclusive lesson plans and modify activities based on student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement adaptive physical education curriculum for students across elementary, middle, and high school
• Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate documentation and records
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to individualized education plans for students receiving adaptive PE services
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure continuity of care and support
• Create an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environment for all students
