Title: Title I/SCE General Aide
Pay Grade: Paraprofessional 030 (187 Days)
Department: Assigned School

Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt
Funding: Grant funded position; funds available until the end of the school year. No guarantee of continued employment beyond the availability of the grant.
Provide flexibility in meeting campus needs by assisting in the office and/or in the classrooms as determined by the principal.
Employment TermsLength of work year and salary: 187 days. Pay scale:
Paraprofessional 030.
- Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work will with children
- Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with children/students or parents.
Major Responsibilities and Duties- Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned
- Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment
- Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed
- Assist in maintaining administrative records and preparing reports as required
- Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned
- Assist in preparing materials and displays for instruction or campus operations
- Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required
Copier, multi-line telephone, facsimile, audiovisual equipment, and computer/peripherals.
Working Conditions- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Work with frequent interruptions
- Frequent requests to complete work in restrictive time frames
- May include a lot of standing, stooping, and bending
- May be required to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance
Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and district policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidents immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
