Education / Certification

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate
• High School Diploma or GED

• Knowledge of general office equipment
• Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with children

• Experience working with children/students or parents; bilingual (preferred)

• Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned
• Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises as assigned
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment
• Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed
• Assist in maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned
• Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations
• Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events as required

Copier, multi-line telephone, facsimile, audiovisual equipment, and computer/peripherals

Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Frequent requests to complete work in restrictive time frames.

• Moderate standing, stooping, bending
• May be required to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance
